Professional Development and Continuing Education

The Center for NeuroPotential provides continuing education training and professional consultation for mental health providers in diagnosis, assessment, and treatment. We provide in-depth teaching combining didactic, experiential, and interactive teaching methods to optimize the learning experience. The combination of Amy’s expertise in neuropsychology and Deb’s expertise in trauma provides a unique perspective and skill set that can be invaluable to many mental health clinicians and nurses. We are able to provide education on complex concepts in an easy to learn format.

Beyond the Basics: EMDR and Attachment Approaches to Preverbal Trauma

Heal what words can’t reach.

Children and adults who experienced trauma before language often present with symptoms that don’t respond fully to standard interventions. This advanced training teaches clinicians how to integrate EMDR, attachment theory, somatic interventions, and developmental neuroscience to effectively treat implicit & preverbal trauma.

I found the preverbal trauma training very informative, and comprehensive. I have been able to use the strategies right away with clients that have more complex trauma, attachment wounds, and/or preverbal trauma. Deb is always open to answer questions, and to help break things down. Thanks, Deb!

Deb is phenomenal. She has a whole and deep understanding of trauma work, that is not easy to find in other therapists and/or persons in the mental health field. She is an amazing therapist, educator/consultant, and person. For clients who get an opportunity to work with her, you will not be disappointed. If you're a therapist looking to further train or hone in on your skills for EMDR and/or pre-verbal, or other related trauma work, I highly recommend taking trainings with Deb and/or consultation. You will not be disappointed.
